Summary
Michael Clifford Tracey, born August 8, 1988, is an American journalist and political commentator known for his skepticism of mainstream media narratives and political establishment figures. He gained prominence for his work with The Young Turks and his independent reporting, often focusing on issues of media responsibility and political accountability. Tracey is a vocal critic of the Democratic Party and has challenged high-profile narratives such as the Trump-Russia collusion allegations. In recent discourse, particularly on the All-In Podcast, he has deconstructed what he calls the "Epstein Mythology," arguing that the public scandal surrounding Jeffrey Epstein has been framed as a media-driven "moral panic" similar to the historical "Satanic panic." He frequently critiques the financial incentives involved in legal settlements and questions the credibility of central accusers in the Epstein case.

He is currently a professor at the University of Colorado at Boulder. ## Education [edit&action=edit§ion=1 "Edit section: Education")] [...] Tracey is the producer of three documentaries about the death of JonBenét Ramsey. He has been a strong advocate for the innocence of JonBenét's parents and critical of the media frenzy that implicated the parents. On July 9, 2008, twelve years after the murder, DNA evidence was found of an unknown individual, this has been explained as either normal touch DNA or the killers DNA. There is dissenting views regarding this DNA among investigators and experts who argue it is simply touch DNA or that it belongs to the culprit . [...] Tracey has been "considered a notorious developer of false leads" by "Internet sleuths investigating the JonBenét Ramsey case". In his documentary Who Killed the Pageant Queen?, which aired June 16, 2004 in the United Kingdom, Tracey "claimed to have stunning new evidence that was leading police to a previously unidentified 'prime suspect'". According to Tracey, police were trying to find this suspect, but they were stymied "because he had gone 'underground'". However, based on details in the documentary, a viewer determined this "suspect" was John Steven Gigax. Gigax was an acquaintance of Michael Helgoth, who was briefly considered a suspect, but Gigax had not gone into hiding, and Tom Bennett of the Boulder District Attorney's office stated that Gigax was never a suspect.
