Summary

The Trump fundraiser in San Francisco, co-hosted by prominent tech investors David Sacks and Chamath Palihapitiya, served as a significant indicator of a perceived political shift within the tech industry, moving away from Joe Biden and towards Donald Trump. Held at Sacks' Pacific Heights residence on June 6, 2024, the event successfully raised $12 million for Trump's presidential campaign, with tickets ranging from $50,000 to $300,000 for premium access. The fundraiser and its implications were extensively discussed on the All-In Podcast, where hosts criticized the Biden administration's policies on AI regulation, crypto, and M&A as "innovation hostile," positioning Biden as a "decel" candidate.
